Tiffany Crosby was named one of this years "Forty Under 40" winners by the Charleston Regional Business Journal.
Each year, the Charleston Regional Business Journal honors forty people under the age of 40 who are making their mark in the area. Nominees are graded on their business accomplishments, community service and unique qualifications that set them apart in their field. Please join us in supporting WID's own, Tiffany Crosby, Process Improvement Systems Analyst for SRC. Tiffany started her career at SRC as a Systems Analyst. She quickly moved up the ranks as a Configuration Analyst and was then promoted to her current job Where she is in charge of ensuring that CMMI policies are followed to the letter. She must work with all of the managers to make sure that they are all implementing and following the correct protocols. CMMI is the cornerstone of success for SRC and Tiffany plays a vital role by serving on the Assessment Team. She attends multiple meetings and is trusted to maintain and implement CMMI policies and procedures. Her support efforts ensure that the CMMI procedures are universal and span across the entire division.
Her goal is to continue on the Process Improvement path, obtain her SEI CMMI Trainer Certification, and become a Program Manager or Director of Process Improvement for SRC. She has the unique ability to work with multiple layers of managers and their distinctive management styles and gives the team the guidance they need to deal with CMMI procedures consistently and effectively. She works closely with SRC management to coordinate company wide efforts. She is currently working on organizing the ITEA Conference which she was volunteered for by a Senior Manager at SRC because of her ability to organize and delegate tasks. She was recently awarded the SRC Spot Award for dedication to perfection and enthusiastic team spirit. She is not your average overachiever; she operates well above event (sic) the best of the best and is an example for many to follow.
Tiffany is a single Mom to her 4 year old son, Owen. How she finds the time to do it all is absolutely amazing! Her attitude about life is that you can do anything you put your mind to. If you are a hard worker, doors will constantly open and success will come your way. Those who know her know that she LOVES to be involved. She serves on the WID Leadership Council as the Meetings/Events Chair and was fundamental in starting the Palmetto Chapter over a year ago.
She supports breast cancer awareness/prevention in any way possible and is active with the Komen Race for the Cure. Her mother passed away from breast cancer in 2004 at the age of 44. Tiffany says that her mother was the most hardworking, ethical woman she ever knew. Her mother was very dedicated to her family, career, and community. Her accomplishments spanned many plains: she was a volunteer coach for recreational athletics, a leader in her company, a devout church member, and the most caring and understanding person you have ever met. Tiffany hopes that she can walk in her footsteps and make her mother proud. In honor of her mother, Tiffany spearheaded the "Real Men Wear Pink Beauty Pageant" at SRC that raised money for the race. Many of the top managers gladly volunteered because Tiffany was involved. Their team raised the second highest amount for the 2009 Race.
Tiffany is also an advisor for Zeta Tau Alpha sorority at the College of Charleston, and is active in her son's soccer and t-ball activities. Needless to say, she is extremely busy and rarely takes time for herself. In what little free time she has she enjoys boating and is on the water as much as possible.
When you hear people say, "If you want something done, give it to a busy person" they are talking about Tiffany. She takes on any challenge with enthusiasm and never once complains about her work load or obligations. She inspires those around her to do more and is the perfect ambassador for the Charleston area as well as a major contributor to helping support our Armed Forces. She IS making a difference in the world one day at a time.
